I recently got to eat at the Lazy Dog bar and grill in Boulder, CO.
If you're looking for an energetic sports bar, this is the place for you! They had about 10 screens showing 5 different games and it was crowded (but not bursting at the seams). They have a good variety of beers on tap, including seasonals. I had a seasonal Hoegaarden (mostly picked because I am immature and the name was amusing) along with their Saint Louis style ribs with sweet potato fries.
The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress seemed to know exactly when we needed more drinks or napkins or anything else. She was arund enough to give us great service and was never annoying or pushy. And amazingly enough managed to ask us the usual "how is everything?" question when my mouth wasn't full of food!
As for the ribs themselves, they were tender and had a delicious flavor throughout. I had never had "Saint Louis" style ribs before, so I cannot compare authenticity, but these ones has a pleasant flavor that did not overpower the natural pork flavor of the rib meat. The sweet potato fries were also very pleasant! Not over or undercooked, or seasoned poorly. All in all, the meal was very pleasant and did not leave me feeling heavy as pub food sometimes can.
Sorry for the lack of picture, but it was very dark in there. Here's a link instead!
